Microsoft Azure

Microsoft Azure is a cloud computing platform, created by Microsoft for building, deploying and managing applications and services. There is a huge network of data centers hosted by Microsoft and its partners that provides cloud based services and supports many different programming languages. Azure was released in Feb, 2010 as Windows Azure and now it has been renamed to Microsoft Azure in Mar, 2014.

Within minutes you can deploy your cloud solution and virtual machines. With Azure you can deploy modern websites and web apps, launch Windows Server and Linux within minutes, manage SQL Databases, build and host back end for any mobile app, deploy Windows client apps in the cloud and rum them on any device, perform predictive analysis and much more.

If you are a student you can get Azure Subscription from your DreamSpark activation. There are a number of useful videos available on Microsoft Virtual Academy. Following are links to hands-on labs, you can practice them and build your skills on Azure.
